Arab paramilitary groups, backed by the Sudanese government, have been carrying out horrific atrocities against Black Africans in Sudan’s western region of Darfur. Haven’t heard much about these crimes against humanity, have you? No doubt, political correctness has helped to keep this story quiet. After all, doesn’t the extreme left argue that it is American and Israeli policies that are the root of all evil? If we would just keep quiet, and not inflame the Arab/Muslim world -- ignoring their crimes -- then everything would be just hunky-dory. This is one writer that won’t keep quiet. The Arab/Muslim world must be held accountable for its actions, just as should every group on Earth. According to the BBC, United Nations co-ordinator for Sudan, Mukesh Kapila, said the conflict [in Sudan] had created the worst humanitarian situation in the world. …
In the latest incident three weeks ago, Sudanese Arabs terrorized several Black African villages: Mr Kapila said 75 people were killed in the attack on the village of Tawila at sunrise by Arab militiamen two weeks ago. Regarding the ethnic cleansing being carried out by Sudan, Amnesty International says: This is not a situation where the central government has lost control. Men, women and children are being killed and villages burnt and looted because the government is allowing militias to pursue what amounts to a strategy of forced displacement through the destruction of the homes and livelihoods of the farming population of the region. While the UN voted to condemn Israel for ridding the world of Hamas terrorist mastermind Sheikh Ahmed Yassin, it has passed no resolutions condemning Sudan’s crimes against humanity. And how does the Arab world view its backward, decadent societies? Saudi Arabia’s Prince Faisal recently trotted out the usual lame excuse: …our Arab people have cultures rooted deep in history and ... we are able to handle our own affairs. What kind of excuse is this? So what if Arab culture has a long history? How does that excuse Arab dictatorship, lack of personal freedom, and corruption? Look what happens when Arab countries handle their own affairs: Black Africans are slaughtered and raped. |
